Extreme Programming
Dr. Ralph Johnson

Extreme Programming is a software development method that appeals to many programmers. It was developed by Kent Beck in response to the classic software development methods, which he thought did not work.

In spite of the name, Extreme Programming is the answer to a manager's prayers, because it makes software development more predicatable, programmers more efficient, and the final product more usable. Extreme Programming is the ideal software development method for a small (2-10) group of developers building business applications. Many of the principles and techniques are applicable to all software projects, though some do not scale well.

This talk will introduce Extreme Programming, show why it works, and make you wonder why it is called "Extreme".

Directions:
333 W. Wacker is on Wacker Drive, near N. Orleans Street. The conference room is off of the lobby.
